Happy 50th! What a beautiful post....and I love Jordan's music! Am a little late reading this post, but love every minute and always look forward to Mondays with the Mermaid....Sending big, Happy Birthday wishes to Kai, who is living large these days! Thank you, Jamie, for sharing your adventure with us!
Thank you, AJ, from us and from Kai! He had a great day hanging with his pack, and - new development - is looking forward to settling in one spot this June in DP!
Thanks for watching! I always wonder if anyone out there watches those or if it’s just me practicing telling stories with pictures:}. Jordie did that in his DJ days. I’ll tell him you liked it. I appreciate your sweet comment. XO
I have taken this exact journey minus the Cannery Hotel. I came very close to buying a ukulele at The Drift Inn. I must have been a little drunk because I made that uke sing (and I don’t play). Next time I’m going to find out if it was me or the uke who has talent! Be sure the try Whale Cove Inn in Depoe Bay someday. They have outdoor bathtubs on the decks of the oceanfront rooms. It’s extraordinary! Love you!!!
I think I remember when you made that trek. Such beautiful, rugged coastline which feels so untouched. We saw that place in Depoe Bay and had I known about outdoor bathing, I’d have been there! We’ll check it out. But you must go to Astoria and the Cannery Hotel. It’s so cozy and unique. That Drift Inn was quite a place and I’m sure it was YOU with the talent. Love you, too!!!
Vegas, Baby. It’s a whole thing. The last time I was there I was a maid of honor in my bff’s wedding (20 years ago!) It’s a very FULL place, quite different than sleepy Astoria. Thanks for being a fan, weekly reader, and loving Kai! He loves you, too! Btw, the Eagles was Mike and my first band of music we agreed on, and all we listened to for about 5 years:) We’ve since expanded our appreciation of a vaster playlist.

Thank you dear Jamie, for your commitment to this weekly missive. I’m a fan! I love Kai 💙. I’m in Vegas—what a place. I think I’d prefer Astoria.
